ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

The Flintec Compression Load Cell CC3 is specifically designed for the oil and gas industry to address pump-off control monitoring in well automation. The CC3 provides a rugged, steel casting impervious to shock loading, moisture ingress, and fatigue failures.

Compression load cells, like all other modern load cells, are essentially transducers that convert force or weight into an electrical signal. They do this with strain gauges attached to the body of the load cell. When under compressive load, the body of the load cell deforms slightly. This is detected by the strain gauges which deform in unison with the body, resulting in a change of voltage. This voltage signal is proportional to the initial force or weight and can thus be used to calculate it.

PRODUCT DETAILS

The CC3 features a Nickel plated 4340 steel sensing element, increasing performance and reliability. The assembly includes a powder-coated housing, UV resistant sealants with an environmental seal rated to IP67. The CC3 also carries HazLoc approvals for intrinsically safe operation in Class 1, Division 1 environments.
